Note: This meeting has been postponed and has not been reschedued.


Notice is hereby given that the annual meeting of the New City Library Association will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013, beginning at 7:30 PM at 220 North Main Street, New City, NY, for the purpose of hearing the annual reports of the President of the Board of Trustees, the Library Director, the Treasurer, and other business which may properly be brought before the meeting.


The public is welcome to attend. For further information, please call Barbara DuBois at 845-634-4997, ext. 112.

Thankfully, there are other examples of the community and PTA's getting involved and providing needed services. Clarkstown and surrounding areas hardly have substantial unmet needs in their classroom, thankfully.

I guess better late than never. LaCorte is serving his 4th year as Mayor and was Trustee for I think…Read More 4 years before that. This year is the only time he has brought the idea to the village about participating in this program. He is motivated by the opportunity of getting positive press for his County Executive campaign. The village should have been involved in this program ( as well as the Americorps program) long before this. On a positive note, hopefully the Village will continue this worthwhile partnership for many years to come.
