Family Fall Festival at the HSRC

Please join us on Sunday, October 6, 2013 from 12pm – 4pm for our Fall Family Festival at the Historical Society of Rockland County on the grounds of the Jacob Blauvelt House located at  20 Zukor Road, New City, NY 10956
Admission: Adults: $ 7.  Children, HSRC Members and Seniors: $ 3.
Children under 3:  Free
 
This is an outdoor festival -- in the event of rain, the festival will not take place.

Our Fall Festival will have activities for the entire family all around the beautiful grounds of the HSRC's 1832 Jacob Blauvelt House including:
Old time games, stencil art, clothespin dolls and quill pen writing. 
Tours of the Jacob Blauvelt House and restored barn 
Demonstrations of open hearth cooking, wood turning,  lace making, and wool spinning
Our Collections Department will be holding a Tag Sale
The HSRC giftshop will also be open.  Among items for sale will be folk-life toys, publications relating to life in Rockland County and historical maps -- all great gift ideas!

We welcome back Nickel-O Farms’ pony (2 – 4pm), Peter Artin who will demonstrate the art of blacksmithing. the Ramapo Fault Band, who will play their wonderful music again this year.  

And don’t miss the lively antics of entertainer Dikki Ellis… fun for the whole family!
