#GivingTuesday™ for Say Ah!, a Health Organization

Say Ah!, a nonprofit that helps people manage their health care, has joined #GivingTuesday, a first of its kind effort, to transform the way people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season.  Coinciding with the kick off of the holiday shopping season, #GivingTuesday takes place December 3, 2013, and is dedicated to inspiring people to give, similar to how Black Friday and Cyber Monday have become synonymous with days devoted to holiday shopping.

Say Ah! joined the movement as a way to increase awareness and to support the work the organization does around improving health literacy -- the ability to access, understand and use health and medical information and services. Though low health literacy is a major driver of poor health outcomes and the high cost of health care, few people know what it is or how it impacts this nation's health care.  Say Ah! provides health literacy workshops for patients and caregivers throughout the NY Metro area, including in Rockland and Westchester Counties.  There are also many helpful tips for patients and caregivers on the organization's website, www.say-ah.org.
