Third Annual - WCFR Walk for Health

This Saturday, May 24th, 2014, Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. will hold its Third Annual Walk for Health at the Eugene Levy Park, 920 Route 45, Pomona, NY to raise funds and awareness for WCFR. The event is sponsored by Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Zeta Omega Chapter.  

Registration for the casual 2-3 mile walk will be from 8:30AM – 9AM. Walk will be from 9AM – 10AM, 10AM – 11AM, 11AM – 12PM.  A $20 donation is suggested for participants to attend this event. First 100 participants will receive a t-shirt. Anyone that registers online at www.wcfrworldwide.org in advance will be eligible to win a great raffle prize! 

Raffle tickets can also be purchased at www.wcfrworldwide.org Raffle prizes include gifts certificates from: Dave and Buster's, Vitamin Shoppe, J. Krokus Nursery, 24 Hour Fitness, And more... Winners need not to be present to win.

This year, Worldwide Community First Responder (WCFR)partnered with Westchester Pride Volleyball (WPVB) Club to increase awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, a chronic, progressive and debilitating disease that affects the lungs, intestines, liver, and pancreas. There will be a volleyball tournament with Taneisha Cantave, owner of WPVB Club. In addition, there will be a “Zumbathon in Support of WCFR” by Samantha Joy Whithey at 11AM. Samantha Joy Whitley is a Zumba Instructor at the Jewish Community Center in West Nyack, NY. She hosted the first Zumbathon last year in Support of WCFR and it was a great success. A $12 donation is suggested for adults to participate. Children are fee. For more information, please visit www.wcfrworldwide.org

Worldwide Community First Responder (WCFR) is a non-profit/charitable organization with a mission “to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training”. WCFR offers two main services: WCFR Health Education and WCFR Training Program.
