Anyone wishing today for some hope and or relief in diminishing the heavy Taxation burdens we have, the answers should be available to you this Thursday night. The tax bills being delivered to us for payment are rising at a double digit pace. Gaining the distinction of being one of the highest taxed areas in the nation, is something I prefer to aviod. The 2nd Highest Taxed county is within our sites.
On that merit alone, it should be sending off alarm bells within you. High Taxes being imposed on all of us now, have causes. If you care to learn why, then You should be coming out to a Clarkstown Taxpayers sponsored meeting event this Thursday April 18th at the Nanuet Library, 149 church street, Nanuet (845-623-4281) Start time is 7pm.

We have invited speakers from the Manhattan Institute / Empire Center for New York State Policy. Tim Hoefer and or E.J McMahon They will be there to address the magnitude of the Triborough Amendment to the state’s Taylor Law and the many difficulties we are dealing with, such as escalating costs associated with numerous state mandates. We are facing unprecedented double digit increases associated with Pensions and Health care costs which are vivid illustrations as to why we are being pushed off the cliff and into insolvency. It would be to everyone’s benefit to attend this event. Learning about the excessive costs and why we are dealing with unfunded past promises for many union benefits, that are offered currently and have been offered in years past. How could we take control of them today. Let us find out together, with an eye opening and educational opportunity.
If you wish to come a little more prepared , you can visit the site of the http://www.manhattaninstitute.org/ or the http://www.empirecenter.org/html/mcmahon.htm Join us this Thursday April 18, for a night of education and insight See you there.
