Hillcrest Fire Co. No. 1 and the Spring Hill Ambulance are joining forces to host a blood drive at the Hillcrest firehouse, 300 N. Main St., Hillcrest, on Dec. 20 at 3 p.m.
The volunteers from the fire department and the ambulance corps are asking members of the public to consider donating blood to help bolster the region's blood supply during the holidays — traditionally a slow period for blood donations, although the demand for blood does not drop.
