The Historical Society of Rockland County Announces daytrip series to tour historic spots in Rockland

 The Historical Society of Rockland County is pleased to announce a 5-part series of historic Rockland County daytrips.   Each trip will include presentations from local historians. 

The series kicks off on Saturday, April 28th with a tour to explore the rich history of Orangetown, NY with Town Historian Mary Cardenas.  From the story of Andre and Arnold, to the early recording studio of Bruce Springsteen, there is something for everyone on this trip. Guests will see famous houses, churches and points of interest and includes a stop midday for a gourmet lunch at The '76 House in Tappan. After lunch, the tour will continue with stops at the two historic buildings that make up the Orangetown Historical Museum and Archives.

The Trip begins at The Historical Society at 9:00am and returns at 4:00pm; trip fee is $65 per person,  and $60 per person for members of the HSRC and includes bus transportation, guided tour with the Town Historian and a gourmet lunch. 

Space is limited and reservations are required.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27 – Ramapo with their Town Historian Craig Long
