Hudson Valley Paramedic Association Benefit Event

The Hudson Valley Paramedic Association hosts a event to benefit the Nancy Bergquist Paramedic Scholarship Fund on Friday, June 10, from 6-10 p.m. at Rhodes North Tavern, 40 Orange Turnpike in Sloatsburg.

Special Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to the Lippe Family in memory of Dr. Michael S. Lippe for his years of dedicated service and support for Paramedics in the Hudson Valley Region. Lippe who died in a plane crash in December 2010, was the former head of the emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern.

There is a $40 cover charge that includes beer, wine, soda and pub-style snacks.  Take a chance on the 50/50 drawing and auction of special gifts.

Bergquist, a Sloatsburg resident who was raised in Pearl River, was hailed as one of Rockland County's first female paramedics. She died of cancer in 2010 at age 50.

For further information or to make a donation,  contact Walter Dusseldorp, president, Hudson Valley Paramedic Association, at 646-208-5217.
