Join RILC For Independent Living Legislative Day

Rockland Independent Living Center will attend the New York Association on Independent Living Legislative Day on February 14th in Albany.  RILC staff representatives and consumers will meet with New York State Assemblywoman Ellen Jaffee, Assemblyman Kenneth Zebrowski and New York State Senator David Carlucci to advocate for meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities, to expand the availability of affordable and accessible housing, to promote community access through improved transportation and to preserve the long-term services and supports that allow individuals with disabilities to lead self-directed and successful lives in the community. 

Interested members of the public are invited to join RILC on this trip.  The contingent will leave by accessible bus from the RILC offices at 873 Route 45, Suite 110 on February 14th at 7:30 a.m.
