NAMI-FAMILYA of Rockland, affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness, offers outreach to individuals suffering from mental illness and their friends and family. Join them for a viewing of the King of California, an offbeat, light film about an unstable dad (Michael Douglas) fresh out of a mental institution who tries to convince his teen daughter that there is gold buried somewhere in suburbia. After the film, members from NAMI-FAMILYA will discuss the obsessive-compulsive behavior displayed by Mr. Douglas’ character.
