Reception and Book Signing to Celebrate the Publication of Dan and Marjorie Windheim's New Book
Rockland Independent Living Center will celebrate the publication of Dan and Marjorie Windheim’s new book with a reception and book signing on Thursday, May 10th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the RILC offices in New City.
Dan Windheim is a native New Yorker who attended Nyack High School. In 1979, in the midst of his high school years, Dan was in a car accident and sustained a brain stem injury. But this did not deter him. He went on to graduate high school in 1981, and to later receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from St. Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill.

Mr. Windheim and his mother Marjorie have worked together to write this book that combines information about the challenges of living with a brain injury, practical strategies for living successfully, and inspiring stories from seven other people who have used the strategies to deal successfully with their own varying disabilities.
