Rockland Homes For Heroes Groundbreaking Ceremony
Rockland Homes for Heroes, an organization dedicated to providing residences for disabled and displaced veterans, will hold a public groundbreaking ceremony.
A 13 acre site in Tappan will soon be converted into permanent rental housing for veterans. The property is the last piece that remains of Camp Shanks, a major embarkation point during WWII.
This project is a partnership of Joseph's Home, a not-for-profit agency dedicated to providing Special Needs Housing and supportive services for disabled and homeless individuals and their Families and the Rockland Housing Action Coalition (RHAC), a not-for-profit, HUD approved, housing counseling agency.
This event will be held rain or shine.
