A heart-healthy lunch will follow the workshops featuring an open dialogue with a panel of Rockland county health experts.  The discussion will be moderated by Rockland County Commissioner of Health Joan Facelle, MD.

The Go Red For Women movement challenges women to know their risk for heart disease and to take action to reduce their personal risk. Furthermore, the movement plays a leading role in providing women with the tools they need to lead heart-healthy lives.  Heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of women.  More than one in five females have some form of cardiovascular disease, and coronary heart disease is the number one killer of women age 25 and older.
