Assemblyman Hosts Holiday Food Drive and Toys for Tots Collection

Assemblyman Ken Zebrowski’s office will be a drop off location for food and toy donations until Friday, Dec. 20. Zebrowski announced he would be holding the collection drives in his New City office to assist local non-profits during the holiday season. The food will be donated to People to People in Nanuet and Rockland’s Catholic Charities in Haverstraw and the new and unwrapped toys will be given to Toys for Tots.

“Now more than ever, these food pantries and organizations like Toys for Tots need our help,” said Zebrowski. “Although a happy time for many, the Holiday Season is also a sober reminder of the struggles some of our local families are going through.”

All food donations will be accepted but there are specific items that are in high demand during this time of the year:

Executive Director of Catholic Charities Martha Robles said food donations make a significant difference by enabling families living below the poverty line to enjoy more nutritious meals and live healthier lives.
