Memorial Fund For Local Family Left Without A Father

Ed Romanoff’s Family Memorial Fund was started to help his wife and four children after he passed away suddenly on January 2. Romanoff, 37, is survived by his wife, Rosana, and children, Tsarina, Grant, Natassia and Colton.

The fund was started by Renee Eichler Barragan because “Many dear friends and family members have expressed their desire to provide some financial support for We have created this page as a place where friends and family can make donations to help provide for the future that Ed would have provided for them. The entire family is grateful for the kindness and generosity everyone has provided us during this sad time.”

Already $14,386 has been raised toward the $15,000 goal set on the memorial’s GoFundMe page.

Romanoff’s obituary describes the Haverstraw resident as a devoted husband and family man who coached his daughter and son's baseball leagues, Just For Fun and Haverstraw Little League, and as assistant coach for his son's football team. He recently took his youngest daughter to the “Daddy and Me Dance.” 

“His children were the center of his life and (he) often referred to Rosana as the backbone and the captain of the ship. 

Edward Philip Romanoff was the Head Chef at Faye's Cafe in Montvale, NJ. The cafe was named after his youngest daughter’s middle name. His favorite phrase was "that's proud" and was often described as a big teddy bear. Loyal to his friends and family he loved watching the Jets games, listing to music and going to see his friends’ bands play. When he walked into a room the energy changed he had to work the room saying hello to everyone he saw.”
