Strawtown Elementary School staff and PTA are holding a basketball benefit today for Austin DeGiorgio, a freshman at Clarkstown South High School. He is suffering from leukemia. He is a graduate of Strawtown and the “Shoot Hoops For Austin” fundraiser will help raise money to help pay for his treatment and support him and his family.
The foul shooting contest takes place in the main gym at Clarkstown North High School from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Participants will be divided by grade and will shoot 25 foul shots. The suggested donation is $15 and any donations will be accepted.
