With Community Help, Local Dentist Sends Gifts To Troops

With donations from colleagues, preschools, supermarkets, specialty shops and her dental supply company, Dr. Fern Cytryn sent care packages of goodies, dental supplies and cards to troops overseas. The New City pediatric dentist wanted to service men and women to know how much they are appreciated and selected "Holidays for the Troops" as her 2013 Fall/Winter charity.

“I believe that you should always remember those who give so much on a daily basis,” said, Dr. Cytryn. “We wouldn’t be able to live our lives every day without the sacrifices our military men and women have made to protect us.”

She said her business is all about creating smiles and she wanted to do something to put a smile on the faces of members of the military.
