The Valley Cottage Farmer’s Market is Clarkstown's only farmer’s market. The market is held every Sunday from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the commuter lot on New Lake Road in Valley Cottage. Whether it’s fresh produce from a local vendor, a delicious pie baked right in Valley Cottage, or even a book from the Valley Cottage Library, the market has many things to offer. Please come down and see for yourself!

Buying locally grown produce has many benefits. Fresh vegetables improve health and nutrition. Buying locally is good for the environment since your produce doesn’t have such a long truck ride to your dinner table. There’s also the support for local vendors and businesses. We all benefit when money goes back into our local economy.

The farmer’s market will be open every Sunday through November 20th. Please take advantage of this great local asset. Please take a look at the vendors list below. It’s more than just fresh produce! MISSY’S  GREENHOUSE:  Goshen, NY.   Missy’s Greenhouse Harvests fresh vegetables, bringing seasonal greens and succulents to Valley Cottage. A varying list of crisp, eco-friendly, vine-ripened produce will be offered throughout the season and into the fall.

SLEEPY HILLS ORCHARD:  Another of our friends from Johnson, NY. Teri and crew start off with seasonal flowers just in time to start your home garden. Well cared for and hardy these planting will add instant beauty where ever they go. As the season progresses Sleepy Hills will bring juicy Stone fruit and fresh picked Apples sure to please.

THE LITTLE BAKE SHOP: Valley Cottage NY. Known as the “Bakerman” Joseph has been putting his own twist of  the Home made pie. Although they specialize in fruit pies and tarts, The Little Bake shop will also grace the market with fresh baked Croissants, Soft Baked Cookies, Brownies, and Scones. Also available are Gluten Free Breads and products.

HUDSON VALLEY PANTRY  Home made Salsas balanced with equally mouthwatering Jams and Jellies. “It’s such a good time,” says owner Jonathan Barnwell. “It’s like working with family, a little crazy but never boring. I can come here today, get onions and tomatoes, or fruit,  take it home cook it, jar it and bring it back as salsa. It’s all fresh and I know exactly where and how it was grown.”

FRIENDSVILLE FARMS  High quality prepackaged prepared  gourmet foods. These terrific selections allow you to skip cooking on Sunday night - pick something up, and you are all set.  Also providing homemade mozzarella, pickles, and some bread.

BETTINGINER’S BLUFF FARM  Supplying delicious grass fed beef.  Not only do you get great tasting meat, but it also cooks much faster than conventional supermarket fare, saving you time in the kitchen.
