YOGA: SUN SALUTAION
Suryanamaskar is the quintessential sequence in any yoga practice. It is most recognized 12 segment sequence in a flow. This Vinyasa flow is performed usually early morning facing the Sun inviting the light, heat and energy from the sun into your body and life and giving glory to the sun. It engages and works every part of the human body. Every joint, every muscle and every organ is warmed, massaged and flexed with this routine.
It mainly is a combined 12 poses leading one into the other

Tadasana (Mountain Pose)
Urdha Hasthasana ( Back Bend with hands to heart Pose)
Uttanasana (Forward Bend Pose)
Hanumanasana (Lunge Pose)
Chaturanga Dandasana (Plank Pose)
Urdha Mukha Svanasana (Upward Facing Dog)
Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)
Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward Facing Dog)
Hanumanasana (Lunge Pose)
Uttanasana (Forwards Bend Pose)
Urdha Hasthsana (Back Bend with hands to heart Pose)
Tadasana (Mountain Pose)
Lets do Suryanamaskar:
Start with your feet under your hips and hands in Anjani Mudra (Prayer Pose)
Push your hips forward lift the heart towards the sun arms reaching above
Dive down, folding forward hinging from the hips into forward bend
Bring the Right leg back tucking toes under into Lunge position
Bring the front leg back into Push up or Plank Pose
Drop knees to floor push hips towards heels, look forward, Dive your chest between the hands and lift chest into Updog Pose
Tucking toes under lift hips up into air bringing chest towards thighs into Downward Dog Pose
Look forwards bring Left foot between hands into Lunge Pose
Tucking toes under lift hips up into air bringing chest towards thighs into Downward Dog Pose
Look forwards bring Left foot between hands into Lunge Pose
Back leg joins and fold forward into Forward Bend Pose
Inhale arms up lift your heart up towards the Sun bending backwards
Come back to center into Tadasana
