Clarkstown: What They Don't Want You To Know

Keep up to date with what goes on in Clarkstown's smoke-filled back rooms where puppets, patronage and payoffs permeate our political process.

Qui ambulat in tenebris, nescit quo vadat - He who walks in the shadows knows not where he goes.

A new Facebook page is available called Clarkstown: What They Don't Want You To KnowIt is designed to educate people on what needs to be changed in Rockland County and Clarkstown in particular.  The numerous writers who will contribute to the page are determined to:

1) Stop patronage appointments such as those given to indicted ex-Bronx GOP Chairman Jay Savino to do tax work for $87,000 per year and County Legislator Frank Sparaco to do "constituent services" work part-time for $75,000.

2) Stop the rise in property taxes that is making Clarkstown unaffordable and is depleting home values

3) Support the election of courageous individuals who cannot be bought or sold by party bosses

This Facebook page should be an excellent communication vehicle to reach Clarkstown's citizens particularly those young people who exercise the power of their vote. It is the younger voter who will pay the price of the legacy that is being left to them today.

When you view the page don't forget to add yourself to its readership by indicating that you 'LIKE' the page. Also, share it with others you know who share your interest in having better local government free of petty corruption.

If you have suggestions on improving the page post them in the comments section below. I would love to have your input and to hear that you are signing up to read it.
