New City Library Election Results

When over 1,200 people come out on a cold, wintry day to vote for library trustees, you know that their library is very important to them.  The New City library holds that kind of special place in our community.

The public decides which trustee candidates deserve the honor of being chosen to guide our library.  The trustee's job is non-political and unpaid, and requires a high level of expertise in business management and a commitment to serving the public by establishing library policy.  Anyone who can vote, has a library card for at least 180 days, and lives in the district can run for trustee.

The voters decide which candidates are most qualified for the job.  Yesterday, they made very good decisions: they selected Ralph Sabatini, Jeffrey Sasson, and David Zuckerberg as our new trustees.  Their qualifications are a perfect fit with trustee job requirements and they are dedicated to resolving the problems that have been plaguing the board and the library.  We are confident that they will succeed.
