Obituary: Terrance McCrudden of New City

Clarkstown police officer dies at age 48.

Terrance "Terry" McCrudden of New City died on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, after a battle with cancer. He was 48.

Mr. McCrudden, a Town of Clarkstown Police Officer, was born on May 17, 1964, to Daniel and Cathleen McCrudden.

He was an avid rugby player and enjoyed being around his rugby teammates. A professional sports fan, Mr. McCrudden loved the New York Yankees and the New York Giants.

Mr. McCrudden is survived by his brothers, Christopher (Joanne), Daniel (Patricia), Gerard; his sisters, Danielle Fairclough (Robert), Noelle Zamow (Andrew) and Gabrielle McCrudden; he was the uncle of 8; special friends Maureen Hanlon and Trish Cahill-Fleming. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Cathleen McCrudden and his brothers, Francis and Gregory.

Arrangements are by Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St., New City. A Mass of Christain burial is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Augustine Church, New City, with burial in St. Anthony Cemetery, Nanuet. Calling hours at the funeral home are today, Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
