William P. Caroll of Rockland County died on Aug. 5 at the age of 84.
Carroll was born in the Bronx on Jan. 14 and graduated from Hartwick College in Oneonta. He was admitted to the bar after graduating from Fordham Law School in 1959 and practiced law in New City and throughout Rockland County for five decades.
He was known as a loving husband to his wife Yolanda and father to his three children. Caroll enjoyed spectator sports, the Metropolitan Opera, stamp collecting and playing bridge.

His wife Yolanda Caroll of 60 years; his children William Jr. Caroll and Catherine (Michael) Kling; four brothers; grandchildren and great grandchildren survive him. His daughter Patricia Carroll-Asnin, brother Gerald Carroll and sister Ann Carroll predecease him.
Visiting is on Friday, Aug. 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.. The funeral mass is on Saturday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church in New City. A private burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Rockland Lake.

Donations, in lieu of flowers, can be made in Caroll’s honor to Jawonio, 260 N. Little Tor Rd. in New City.
