Tom Castelli, Former Rockland BOCES Director

Anthony Thomas Castelli, age 88, of New City passed away on April 19, 2014 peacefully in his home surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born on July 24, 1926 in Manhattan, NY. He was the son of the late Francesco and Margaret Castelli. He was happily married to the late Florence Castelli.

He is survived by his sister Jean Bynum of Decatur, GA, his sons Frank and wife Sheila, Joseph and wife Lauren, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Known as Tom, he was an accomplished man, served in WWII and the Korean War with the Navy. He was also an electrical engineer, architect, teacher and the director of Boces in Rockland. Tom had a true passion for his students, church, country and especially his family. 

Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY handled arrangements.  

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to St. Paul's Church in Congers, NY.
