CARLUCCI HAS NO CLUE!

Carlucci has NO CLUE. He is a 33 year old ideologue, with no private sector experience running anything, who tests which way the wind is blowing, then he piles on, with ZERO facts to support him. Case in point. He viciously attacks not only United Water but their employees, some of whom are veterans who fought for this Country. But as long as they are "faceless" veterans, Carlucci feels safe attacking them. Shame on you Carlucci! Disagree with the policies but leave the employees alone. They are our neighbors.
Carlucci shouts that UW is a "PROFIT HUNGRY CORPORATION". Nothing about hugely profitable Verizon or O&R, where his Democratic Colleague Legislator John Grant works, or the 4% tax Democratic Legislators pushed on your bill, increasing your electric bill by an average of $25 a MONTH. In perspective, IF United Water  got even close to the 20% increase Carlucci said they are asking for, it would amount to about $7.00-$10.00 MONTH. As it happened, UW got an increase of about $5.00 a month from the PSC. To be clear, Carlucci's Democratic colleagues raised your electric bill by 5 TIMES the amount that United Water rates rose without so much of a whimper from Carlucci. They are now  forming  a stacked 16 member Task Force to investigate UW. Why not include  Nyack Waterand Suffern Water and the higher priced utilities?  SILENCE FROM CARLUCCI. Does he think we are all stupid? Apparently.
Our Verizon bills also go up willy nilly, it seems but no response from our illustrious Senator Carlucci. Neither does he  attack Nyack Water or Suffern Water because they are GOVERNMENT OWNED, and as such, not "PROFIT HUNGRY". Sounds a little Marxist to me. Someone should tell Carlucci that our UW water rates include tons of real estate and other taxes to the Towns and County, while his government owned water companies pay ZERO taxes.
If Carlucci did his homework, he might realize that the instead of attacking "Profit Hungry" United Water, a subsidiary of Suez Environment, he should instead be looking at Verizon and O &R (Con Ed) who as the charts below depict, appear to be more "Profit Hungry" than United Water. Over the last five years, the stock price of Suez Environment has increased modestly, about 3% a year, while both Verizon and Con Ed have risen substantially, up to 50%-80% higher. How does Carlucci account for this great disparity? He clearly has no idea! Why a Task Force to solely look at United Water, our lowest priced utility? Why not include Verizon and O&R, and the two government owned utilities, Suffern Water and Nyack Water? Carlucci has no idea. He is just another shallow politician.
