With all the commotion over East Ramapo these days, all I can say is 'Save our Schools!' Better yet, we need to save our students from poor schooling. It's time for East Ramapo to regain the status it once had. There is no child that sets out in life saying: “I want to be a failure, I don’t want to achieve, I don’t want to amount to anything." Children have dreams and aspirations that need to be fostered; show me the student that has no dreams, and I will show you a student who was given up on.
It’s time for change it’s time to fix the problems within our Schools. As a product of East Ramapo, I was always proud to say I went to East Ramapo. Now we’re a crumbling district that no one wants to send their children to. Ramapo Residents, it’s time to put our foot down and say “fix our schools now.' We’re a very diverse district with students attending both private and public schools. These children need to be guaranteed the very best education. We need to enrich all the schools in Ramapo, so new young families will start moving into the area with fresh ideas, promises of a fruitful future, and lay the foundation for a new prosperous Ramapo.
I always have fought for our schools, children, and our Town; and will continue on without reserve. I promise, that when I take office in 2014 as the newly-elected supervisor of Ramapo I will do everything within my power to make sure that our schools are on top again, and that all of our kids are getting a fair shake.
