Former Democratic Candidate for County Executive on Day: "I Believe in Him"
Spring Valley, NY - Former Democratic candidate for Rockland County Executive Vladimir Leon endorsed Ed Day for that position at a press conference this morning in front of Village Hall.
"The plans Ed Day has laid out will have a positive on our lives and the Spring Valley community as a whole," said Leon, "I am supporting Ed Day because I believe in him."
Joined by supporters of both Leon and Day, Leon went on to say that he wanted to urge his fellow members of the Haitian community to turn out in force for Ed Day this November.
Leon continued: "There is no other candidate who brings the experience and political independence of Ed Day. We can be comfortable knowing that as County Executive he will both be able to implement his strong plans, and can be trusted to stand strong on the issues for all of Rockland."
In accepting the endorsement, Ed Day said, "I am honored to receive Vladimir Leon's endorsement. Together, cutting across party, racial, and ethnic boundaries, we can focus on the common goal for all - making Rockland the great place we know it to be."
