40-Year-Old Man Charged with DWI On Route 59

Port Chester resident stopped by Clarkstown police early Sunday.

Clarkstown Police report the arrest of Alejandro Almazan-Perez, 40, of Port Chester for DWI at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning. 

Almazan-Perez was driving eastbound on Route 59 in Clarkstown near the Palisades Interstate Parkway in a 1998 Lincoln Navigator, which was reported was swerving in and out of his lane. He failed field sobriety tests and failed a breathalyzer test at police headquarters.  He was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court and $100 cash bail was set. Almazan-Perez is due in court on Dec. 3 on charges of driving with greater than .08% blood alcohol concentration and driving while intoxicated, both misdemeanors.
