Volunteers trying to help residents of storm- and fire-ravaged Breezy Point, NY.

The volunteers of the New City Fire Department are asking for the community’s support in a Hurricane Sandy relief drive that has been organized to help the ravaged community of Breezy Point, NY

With the destruction of more than 100 homes by the storm and a related fire, Fire Chief Kenny Flynn said the members of his department decided to launch an effort to help suffering families in Breezy Point.

“Please donate to this important cause,” said Flynn. “Many of these people are still struggling to meet basic needs. Please help them as they begin to piece their lives back together. Help us help them.”
