Arraignment for 2nd of 4 Accused in Nadell Killing

Four women were arrested May 21; one of them was the victim's daughter-in-law.

Eltia Grant was arraigned this morning in Clarkstown Justice Court—the second of a quartet accused of conspiring to kill Rockland County resident Peggy Nadell.

Nadell was stabbed to death in her Valley Cottage home in January. She was 81. Police announced the arrest and pending extradition of four women—including Nadell’s daughter-in-law—May 21.

Grant was charged with second-degree conspiracy to commit murder. Her bail was set at $500,000.

Tanisha Joyner was arraigned May 27. Her bail was also set at $500,000.

Both Grant and Joyner are in the Rockland County Jail and are due back in court at 9:30 AM June 2.

Diana Nadell and Andrea Benson are to be arraigned early next week, Clarkstown police said. They each face second-degree murder charges as well as conspiracy charges.
