Clarkstown Chief Fire Inspector Vincent Narciso Died of Heart Attack Wednesday

Clarkstown Chief Fire Inspector Vincent Narciso died of a heart attack Wednesday morning, the Rockland Times reported.  

Mr. Narciso was a longtime volunteer firefighter and a life-member of the Valley Cottage Fire Department, where he was a resident. He was an honorary life-member of the Rockland Lake Fire Department. He also joined Rockland Lake’s Knickerbocker Engine Co. No. 1 in 1980 and served as fire chief from 1986 to 1988. According to the news report, he became a member of the Valley Cottage Fire Department in 1990.

Mr. Narciso grew up in Rockland County resident and was a graduate of Nyack High School. He was hired by the Town of Clarkstown in 1987 became an assistant fire safety inspector on 1994.

Funeral plans have not yet been finalized, however the Higgins Funeral Home in New City is handling the arrangements. Details will be posted on their website shortly. 

The Clarkstown Police expressed their condolences via social media on Wednesday: "Our condolences to the family of Clarkstown Chief Fire Inspector Vincent Narcisco. Vinny passed away early this morning at the age of 57 from a heart attack."
