Clarkstown PD Makes Arrest in $62,000 Theft from Honda Lot

Angel Lopez, 35, is due in Clarkstown Town Court April 4 to answer charges connected to the theft of tires and rims from a new car lot.

Clarkstown Police originally responded to a report of theft from a car lot on Western Highway in West Nyack in May. The responding officers determined the suspects entered the lot, owned by Tarrytown Honda, through a hole in the security fence.

The value of the tires and rims stolen was in excess of $62,000.

After an extensive and lengthy investigation, involving multiple jurisdictions in several counties, the Clarkstown Detective Bureau arrested Lopez in 
the town of Greenburgh, NY.

The Bronx resident was charged with Grand Larceny 3rd, Criminal Possession Stolen Property 3rd, Auto Stripping 1st, Criminal Mischief 3rd and Criminal Tresspass 3rd, police said.

Lopez was arraigned in Clarkstown Court and was held on $25,000 bail.
