The Congers Fire Department installed new officers on Sunday. Past Chief Joseph Britney server as the Master of Ceremonies and Clarkstown Police Chief Michael Sullivan was the guest speaker. Rockland County Executive Ed Day, county Fire & Emergency Services Director Gordon Wren and Clarkstown Supervisor Alex Gromack attended the ceremony.
Jason DiSalvo was installed as the chief of the department. He takes over from Michael Shields who served in that post in 2012 and 2013.
