Crowbar Break-in, Cocaine Sales: Rockland Court Report

A 38-year-old New Jersey man was sentenced to time in state prison earlier this week in connection with a Nanuet liquor store break-in and the theft of nearly $2,000 in cash.

Joey Labonville, of Rivervale, will serve two to four years in prison after pleading guilty to burglary in the third degree.

On September 3, Labonville busted into Buy Wise Liquor Store using a crowbar, officials said, and plucked $1,950 out of three cash registers.

A Spring Valley man who pled guilty to selling cocaine will serve four years in state prison, according to District Attorney Thomas Zugibe.

Lee Thorpe, 46, pled guilty to criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. Earlier this year, Thorpe sold another individual the drug for $80 on three different occasions.

A Nyack man who drove drunk for a second time was indicted by a Rockland County grand jury earlier this week for DWI, a felony, and aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree.

Christopher Koller, 38, crashed his vehicle into a parked car earlier this summer, authorities said. When police arrived, Koller failed sobriety tests, according to District Attorney Thomas Zugibe.

Police then learned Koller's license was suspended for a previous DWI, officials said.
