D.A.: Drug Ring Selling Kilos of Cocaine Broken

Yonkers-based operation accused of orchestrating drug sales in Rockland and Westchester.

Five residents of Rockland and Westchester have been arrested in an undercover probe that targeted open-air drug sales that involved multiple kilos of cocaine in both counties.

Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said four men and one woman indicted by a Rockland County grand jury in New City were the targets of a physical surveillance operation and a court-ordered electronic surveillance effort. The probe led investigators from the streets of Haverstraw to Yonkers.

Zugibe said the probe found that a drug dealing network was based at 525 Riverdale Ave., Yonkers. To conduct the investigation, Rockland County Narcotics Task Force Director Christopher Goldrick said the law enforcement operation included his unit, Haverstraw police, New York Drug Enforcement Task Force Group T-31, state troopers from the Troop F barracks in Haverstraw and the Westchester County District Attorney's Narcotics Bureau.
