East Ramapo Student Stabbed On School Bus

Clarkstown police report two students injured in incident involving a pocket knife

 

Clarkstown Police report two students from the East Ramapo School District were injured in an incident involving a pocket knife on a school bus. The incident on Wednesday, Nov. 7 occurred at about 2:40 p.m. when one student reportedly used a pocket knife to stab another student in the back. Both were injured, one with a puncture wound in the back and the other with a cut on the hand.

The two, who are both under 12 years old, were taken to the hospital. The student with the puncture wound was admitted and hospitalized overnight. The suspect was treated and released. The stabbing occurred as the bus carrying them home from the BOCES School in Haverstraw traveled through Clarkstown near Addison Boyce Drive.  The driver pulled the bus over and called police.

The suspect was issued a Family Court appearance ticket that is equal to an second degree assault charge, a felony, if it were committed by an adult.
