Grand Larceny, Robbery, Unregistered Weapon, DWI: Rockland Court Report

A Rockland County grand jury indicted John Dow, 40, of Grandview on charges of Grand Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property for withdrawing funds from his former girlfriend’s debit account. Zugibe said between March 27 and April 18 Dow was accused of stealing his ex-girlfriend’s debit card and withdrawing funds from her account on three separate occasions. The card was denied when a fourth attempt was made. 

Rockland County Court Judge William K. Nelson sentenced Less Jones, 21, of Spring Valley on October 8th by to a state prison term of five years and three years post release supervision after he plead guilty to First Degree Robbery. District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe said on November 6, 2012 Jones was accused of putting a handgun on the neck of his victim taking $20 and his wallet, which had $100 and personal papers. The robbery was reportedly took place on North Main Street in Spring Valley. 

Shlomo Ettinger, 36, of Monsey was indicted by a grand jury on charges of Criminal Possession of Marijuana, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and Criminal Possession of a Weapon. Zugibe said while a search warrant was executed on March 21 at the suspect’s home, police reported finding more than one pound of marijuana, concentrated cannabis in the form of marijuana oil and an unregistered revolver.

Bruce Lee Lewis, 49, of Spring Valley was indicted by a grand jury on charges of Felony Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation. Lewis was accused of almost hitting a Spring Valley police car on April 7 in Spring Valley.

Lewis failed field sobriety tests and his blood alcohol content was allegedly .13 percent. Police reported his driver’s license had been suspended for prior DWIs and failure to pay fines.
