Macy's security people told Clarkstown police June 6 that Tialihia Rivera had been seen taking merchandise from display racks.. She tried to leave the store at the Palisades Mall without paying for the items, which had a total value of $1,290.
Now the 32-year-old Haverstraw woman faces felony charges of fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Clarkstown police placed Rivera under arrest. She was given an appearance ticket and will return to Clarkstown Justice Court June 25.
