The Clarkstown School District sent a notice on Friday that a Level 3 Sex Offender is living in West Nyack. According to information provided by the Clarkstown Police Department, Jaime Katz is a Level 3 Sex Offender, which means he is considered a high risk to reoffend. Katz is living at 9 Tompkins Avenue. He is also designated as a Sexually Violent Offender.
Police report Katz was convicted in New York County Court in January 2009 and Rockland County Court in February 2009 respectively of Sodomy second degree and Attempted Criminal Sexual Act first degree and sentenced to five years in prison. Katz's victim was a 12-year-old juvenile male.
