New City Fire Department Battles Central Avenue House Fire
Volunteers from neighboring departments called in to assist at blaze just off the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
The New City Fire Department, with help from neighboring departments, is battling a fire on Central Avenue in New City, just off Little Tor Road at Germonds Road near the Palisades Interstate Parkway.
As firefighter arrived at the 7 Central Ave. home, the blaze had already done extensive damage and firefighters were investigating reports that someone might have been trapped in the house.
Firefighters from Congers and Nanuet were also assisting, along with police and medical crews called in to standby.
