A 23-year-old New City man has been charged rape after an investigation of his relationship with a girl under 16 years old, according to Clarkstown police.
Isreal Moreno was arrested Thursday following a probe by the Juvenile Division of the Clarkstown police Detective Bureau. Police the the investigation found Moren engaged in sex with the girl, who was known to him, earlier this month.
Moreno is accused of second-degree rape, sexual misconduct and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court in New City and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City on $75,000 bail.
Moreno is scheduled to appear in court again on Monday.
