New City Man Charged with Theft from Employer

Police: He bought gas for personal vehicle with company's credit card.

A New City man was hit with theft charges after an investigation into employee theft at a business, according to Stony Point Police.

Franz B. Robinson, 48, of 1 Germonds Road, is accused of petty larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Police said he is accused of utilizing a company credit card under false pretenses, including the purchase of gasoline for his personal vehicle with the company card.

Stony Point police said Robinson faces additional charges in the Town of Haverstraw as a result of this investigation.

Robinson faces a hearing in Stony Point Town Court on Dec. 20.
