New City Man Hit with Drug Charges

Police: More than an ounce of cocaine found in car.

A 20-year-old New City resident who was the passenger in a car stopped by police on Route 303 is being held in the county jail on $50,000 bail after he was hit with drug possession charges, according to Clarkstown police.

Police said Marcellus Demilla was found with more than an ounce of cocaine and more than four grams of MDMA (3,4-methylenedioxy-N-methylamphetamine), known as "Molly" on the streets. He was in a car stopped in Valley Cottage at about 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Demilia is charged with:

- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

- Seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility pending an Oct. 31 hearing.

This is good news I have noticed some drug addicts hanging around new city dunkin donuts hopefully this will help.

you can't sell drugs to people who don't want them. this guy is half the problem,ignoring the other half keeps the cops in business. eliminate the market and the dealers go away. if it was his first arrest offer the dude a decent deal to give up his clientele.not a get out of jail free card.monitor them as they will be looking for a new connection. in the process you nab them and the new supplier. and so on and so on. let it be known the rockland will offer deals to dealers in return for names. let the dealers do all the work. sooner or later they will be going to bergen county and rockland will need less police wasting time on the "war on drugs"
