Police are investigating the death of a little boy from Chestnut Ridge whose mother chronicled his and her illnesses on Twitter, according to lohud.com.
"Westchester County police and the Westchester District Attorney’s Office, who are investigating with assistance from Ramapo police, say it’s not uncommon for hospitals to call authorities when a child dies, and that the call doesn’t necessarily suggest that foul play is suspected," reporter Shawn Cohen wrote in The Journal News.
Lacey Spears took her son, Garnett-Paul, 5, to Nyack Hospital with a possible stomach virus in early January. He was transferred to Westchester Medical Center, where he died, The Journal News reported.
