A Pearl River woman has been charged with stealing more than $1,500 worth of merchandise from a Nanuet store, according to Clarkstown police.
Kelly Marks, 41, of Pearl River, was arrested Sunday after security personnel at the Kohl's department store on Route 59 spotted her fill a shopping cart with assorted items and then leave the store without paying, police said. The items were worth a total of $1,547.93.
Marks was taken to Clarkstown Police Headquarters in New City, where she was arraigned by Clarkstown Town Judge Scott Ugell and ordered held in the Rockland County Correctional Facility in New City on $1,500 bail pending an Oct. 3 hearing.
She is charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of a stolen property.
- Disapointing is too mild a word. - As you appear to know her as well as I do, not " touching" the first 4 children at all would have been much better for the kids. If you are a Mom or know or remember your Mom you know exactly what I am saying. - I blame the courts. It took 5 years of the father fighting and spending money for the first 4. - I personally know the sister that was kind enough to adopt the 5th. This child is almost guarenteed to grow up to be a fine man. - And the 6th is certainly better off no matter where he is. - A few months ago she actually tried to get the 2 youngest of the first 4 back, - She showed uo in court handcuffed in an orange jumpsuit!
