NJ Man Charged With 2011 Nanuet Liquor Store Burglary

Joey LaBonville extradicted from NJ and charged with burglarizing the Buy Wise Liquor Outlet in September 2011.

 

Clarkstown Police report Joey LaBonville of River Vale, NJ has been charged with burglary 3rd degree and grand larceny 4th degree in connection with the burlgary of the Buy Wise Liquor Outlet in Nanuet on Sept. 3, 2011.  The burglary was caught on store video and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. LaBonville, 37 years old, was extradicted from Bergen County on Tuesday.  

LaBonville was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court and released after $10,000 cash bail was posted. He is due back in court on Friday, Oct. 19.

An arrest warrant was issued for LaBonville on September 26 as part of an ongoing joint investigation between NY and NJ law enforcement agencies into a string of burglaries that occurred from August 2011 through June 2012. He was arrested in River Vale and remanded to the Bergen County Jail as a fugitive pending extradition to New York.

The burglaries took place in various communities in the two states and led to the joint investigation by the Clarkstown and Orangetown police departments, and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, and the River Vale, Emerson, Montvale, Westwood, Old Tappan, and Northvale police departments, Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the NJ Division of Parole.
