Robbery Plea, Grand Jury Indictments: Rockland Court Report

After pleading guilty to First Degree Robbery, Tony Hunt, 44, of Hartford, CT, was sentenced on Wednesday in Rockland County Court to state prison for 10 years and five years post release supervision 

District Attorney, Thomas P. Zugibe said just after midnight on November 28, 2012, shortly, the defendant approached two victims and displayed what appeared to be a pistol. Hunt allegedly stole approximately $1,500 and fled. At 1 p.m. the same day, Hunt is accused of going to the Latino Food Mart in Spring Valley, showing a pistol to the clerk and stealing $1,000 from the cash register. 

A Rockland County Grand Jury indicted Sheena Wright, 45, of Spring Valley on charges of Attempted Assault, Assault and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in connection with a September 12 incident.

Zugibe said Wright allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife in the face. The victim was taken to a local hospital and transferred to Westchester Medical Center for further treatment.

A grand jury indicted Nicole Baumann, 25, of Tamaqua, PA on charges of Burglary, Petty Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. According to Zugibe between January 27 and February 17 Baumann is accused of stealing several pieces of jewelry from the victim’s house where she was an overnight guest and then pawned the jewelry at two local shops. The value of the stolen jewelry was approximately $2,270.

Kenneth Blanc, 28, of Spring Valley was indicted by a grand jury on charges of Burglary and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Blanc is accused of illegally entering a building on South Main Street in Spring Valley and stealing money, scratch off lottery tickets, phone cards and cigarettes.

Carl Dade, 50, of Spring Valley was indicted by a grand jury on charges of Attempted Assault and Assault. On September 20, Dade allegedly used a knife to stab another person in the chest. The victim had to be hospitalized for treatment.
