Sentences For Criminal Possession, Assault: Rockland Court Report

Ephfram Lawhorne, 35, of New Hempstead was sentenced to a state prison term of two to four years after pleading guilty to fourth degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said on August 1, 2012 Lawhorne was accused of using credit cards of three other without their permission for purchases at Macys in the Palisades Center.

Alex Sostre, 46, of Spring Valley was sentenced to a state prison term of five years and five years post release supervision after pleading guilty to second degree Assault. Zugibe said Sostre was accused of punching and cutting a victim with a knife on April 23, 2013.  Sostre reportedly approached the victim, argued with him and after punching him, pulled out a knife and swung it at the victim. The victim sustained a large laceration to his left wrist and required hospital treatment.
