Spring Valley Man Accused Of Public Lewdness At Mall

Clarkstown police arrested Eduardo Cantero-Flores, 21, of Spring Valley after he allegedly exposed himself to female shoppers at the Palisades Center on Thursday night and previously in June.

Sgt. Jo Anne Fratianni said Cantero-Flores was arrested at the H&M store just before 9 p.m.

“Cantero-Flores was observed by store security officers to be exposing himself and performing lewd acts while following female customers around the store,” she said.  “Cantero-Flores was placed under arrest and while being escorted to a police vehicle broke free from custody and began to flee on foot.”

Fratianni said officers used a Taser to subdue Cantero-Flores who was taken to Nyack Hospital for evaluation. He was treated and released and is awaiting arraignment on misdemeanor charges of two counts of public lewdness, escape 3rd degree, and resisting arrest. Fratianni said Cantero-Flores was involved in a similar incident in June at Gilly Hicks, also in the Palisades Center.

Clarkstown police are asking anyone who experienced a similar incident with the suspect to contact them at 845-639-5800.
