A Rockland County man found guilty of second-degree assault by a jury in New City in the stabbing of his ex-roommate has been sentenced to six years in state prison.
Segundo Loja-Llivicota, 27, of 25 Lafayette St., Spring Valley, must also serve three years of post-prison supervisor according to the sentenced imposed by Rockland County Court Judge William K. Nelson.
District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said Loja-Llivicota approached the victim in the basement of a North Madison Avenue home in Spring Valley on Aug. 23, 2011, and attacked the vicitm with a knife.
The victim was wounded in the left arm, chest, face and head. The victim was rushed to Nyack Hospital for treatment.
Executive Assistant District Attorney Stephen Moore prosecuted the case.
